If I buy the Palm Pixi on the Verizon network am i required to pay for internet?

I want to buy the Palm Pixi tomorrow when I switch to Verizon from T-Mobile but I don’t want to pay for internet, although I know the phone has internet. Do I have to pay for it?

  Your Palm Pixi has the ability to surf the internet but you will still need the connection from your operator. It is like owning a car but you will still need petrol : )

  you have to pay a extra monthly fee of $29.99 for unlimited web and data thats just if you have a smartphone its REQUIRED so theres no way to get around it
  
  i wanted to get ally and when my dad heard that price there was no way i was gonna get it
