How to activate a Blackberry Storm for Verizon?

My friend had a BlackBerry Storm and just got a new phone. I want to use her Storm, but the calls don’t work anymore because she deactivated it. Is there anyway to activate it without Verizon knowing?

  No you can only activate it if you have a Verizon number and are the account holder for that number.
